Ashley Francis, CPA, is the owner of The Francis Group, PLLC, in Seattle, WA, which specializes in providing tax compliance and planning services to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their family groups. She also works closely with professional trustees on large trusts and estates, providing tax compliance, planning, and fiduciary accounting services. With over 20 years of experience working with high-wealth clients and her Master of Science in Taxation focused on trusts and estates, she enjoys helping clients navigate challenging situations and supporting other client advisors in doing the same.
In addition, Ashley began exploring the applications of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and BingChat beginning in November 2022. She has since taught other practitioners how to use these tools, both through speaking at conferences and on webinars such as AICPA’s ENGAGE conference and AICPA Tax Section’s ‘Reimaging Your Tax Practice’ series, but also in her newsletter ‘Kitchen Table Automations’ and a class she created called ’30 Days of AI – Tiny Lessons for Busy Professionals’. She believes the challenges the tax profession faces now with frequent law changes and complexity can be successfully addressed using AI tools.
